REVIEW:

This book picks off where the first book left. Aoleon and Gilbert are tasked with finding about Luminon’s activities by a wanted criminal named PAX. They suspect that Luminon is plotting to invade earth to steal its milk. Milk isn’t naturally available in Mars and is synthesized in the form of a substance named Galact.

This book focuses on Aoleon’s family and her life in general along with history of Mars. Aoleon’s life in her space academy is a toned down version of a school going version’s life.  Gilbert tags along with Aoleon for her classes and attends her Mars history class. He learns all about Mars’s history, though he constantly fears being recognized as a human. He then goes on to attend Psi-ball – a sport that is played in Mars.

With brilliant illustration is bright and beautiful colors, this book is also a visual treat for readers. The history of Mars was well thought of, but things got a bit too technical. Not that I was uncomfortable with it, people who aren’t really that avid fans of Sci-Fi fiction would find it boring. The targeted age group – Middle Grade, would however love this book. Though this book wasn’t as fast paced with respect to the overall story line, the history narrated in this book would probably be vital. The narrative is funny and quite attractive. Though the writer has liberally used most of traits belonging to humans as traits of Martians, the characterization was quite interesting. Moreover, the writer brought in a lot of interesting and colorful characters in this book, making the story a lot more interesting.

MY SAY: A good continuation to the first part.
